Several years ago, I relocated to the Chicago suburbs, searching for new opportunities. Like most people moving to a new area, I needed to find a home. I searched all the usual online sites (the same ones you spend hours searching through in hopes of finding that perfect home), and, like you, I called and emailed the agents trying to view the properties. Unfortunately, I found that most agents were not interested in showing homes to me when I was available. It was silly for me to think that, I would be able to view homes outside of my work hours. How else could I pay for a home without a job, right? It took 7 months before I finally found a home! I felt as though I missed out on several great opportunities because I couldn’t find an agent interested in selling a home to me. By now, you are probably nodding your head in agreement, because you have had similar experiences. I am different from the other agents in many ways. I listen. I am available. I am attentive. I am constantly learning. I use technology to serve you faster. I bring a different range of experience. Because of the difficulties I faced, and because I felt that nobody should have to go through that same (or worse!) experience, I decided to re-enter the real estate business. You see, I have sold homes before, in another state. Maybe my expectations were too high for the agents in the Chicago area? I had judged them based on the level of service I provided. I have worked with a wide range of people. I helped to start a property management division and worked with investors and renters to help both achieve their goals. I have worked with first time home buyers. I understand that they may not be as ready as they thought, but I can help them get on the path to home ownership. I have studied credit repair to be able to assist buyers get their credit in order, so they can qualify for favorable loan terms. I have moved several times, both locally and from another state. I understand the stress of relocating and can help to minimize it. I have worked with residential property investors. I understand their goals, and the efforts that it takes to find the properties that meet their criteria. I have worked with distressed properties, and understand the challenges. I have worked with sellers under many different circumstances. I understand that sometimes we have to sell our homes because we can no longer afford them. I have resources available to minimize the pain. I have gone way beyond just sticking a sign in the yard, or hosting an open house. I have helped sellers hold garage sales in preparation to move. I have helped to stage their homes to maximize the appeal. I have given them advice on how to make their home stand out. I have utilized different marketing avenues to get their homes sold for the most money, in the least time, and with the least amount of hassle. I have even sold a home on EBay!
